NEGYC has a number of projects to undertake to ensure better livelihoods for the citizens of Lolito and its environs, as well as to improveve upon the academic performance of all students in the Lolito community. The following programmes are underway:
1. Tree Planting Exercises - This initiative is to ensure balanced ecosystems in and aroud the community. We are proud to be part of the fight against global warming of the greenhouse effect. We believe that re-creating the forests that have been lost through bush fires and firewood gathering will go a long way to regulate carbon monoxide gases in the atmosphere.
We hope to plant over one thousand (1000) trees by July, 2011.
2. Academics - To ensure that student members excel academically, we have put measures in place to ensure that they spend maximum time with their books. Each member is required to prepare a time-table to guide his/her studies. Executive Members or leaders will go round to guide them in the preparation and use of the time-table. We hope to achieve this by the end of May, 2011.
3.Excursions - We want to give our members the exposure to other people and cultures, as well as other places in the country. This will help them to build their confidence and be bold taking some initiatives. We hope to travel to any of the following places by December, 2011: Cape Coast-Elmina, Assin Manso, Amedzorfe, Keta, Accra.
